Going postal

Hello and welcome!

Did you know that it's World Card Making day today?  Yes, it's the day to celebrate our obsession  hobby.  So I'm marking the occasion by making a card - bet you didn't see that coming, eh?

I'm a big fan of the background stamp.  Stampin' Up! have a number of large, all-over -patterned stamps in their catalogue.  One stamp and you're pretty much done - can't say fairer than that!

To help celebrate World Card Making Day, SU have been running a fab offer on Fast Fuse, where if you buy one Fast Fuse you get two refills free. It's such a good offer that it's selling out fast and may not be available right up until Oct 10, which is when the offer is supposed to close.

Now, I know some of you will be saying " I can't get on with that stuff, it's the invention of the devil!" but trust me, you can learn to love it.  There's a trick to using it, which is a very light hand (the tape is so sticky, it just needs to touch what you want it to stick to!) and a quick flick of the wrist when you've got enough tape in place.  Some people say you should alternate the direction of the flick (left this time, right next time) to keep the tape centred in the dispenser - but I don't find that's critical.

Anyway, enough waffling - here's the tutorial -

So there we are!  Happy cardmaking, and see you soon!
